XI2 merge coming up

I've sent a pull warning to xorg-devel, next week at this time XI2 should be part of master.

    what happens to the xi2 branch after the merge?

    It'll be discontinued, but I'll leave it up with a warning to tell ppl to switch over. Since the branch and master will have an identical history after the merge there's no need to keep it around.
